Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're looking at our continued run of fun surf. Most of this stretch of sand is seeing plenty of playful size waves.
The conditions are starting off mostly clean, with some spots seeing some texture on the surface. As far as the surf goes, we've got some leftover south-southwest swell and some minor northwest energy in the water that's helping the shape.
That recipe is providing some fast sectiony lines, with some nice pick and choose corners. Most Newport Beach spots are running about knee- to chest-high, with the focal points pulling some shoulder-high sets.

At 11:16 later this morning the tide drops to a 0.4 low which will have some spots lacking water mid-day. The tide then pushes back up to a 4.0 high at 6:18 this evening.
If you're going to grab a session, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 58 and 59 degrees. Good luck out there!
