Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Newport Beach Patch surf report. Well, if you're a small wave enthusiast then it's worth getting out there, otherwise don't make it a priority to paddle.
We're starting off with some really clean conditions, with a pretty minor mixture of energy in the water. We've got a little leftover northwest windswell and some small south southwest energy.
That recipe is offering some fast and fairly broken-up lines, with a few fun wedgy corners. Most Newport Beach spots are running about knee- to waist-high, with the top combo breaks seeing a few stomach-high plus sets.

Taking a look at the the tides...at 9:59 later this morning it climbs up to a 3.8 high and then drops to a 1.6 low at 3:04 this afternoon. If you're going to get wet...well that water temperature has cooled off quite a bit, so you'll most likely want to wear that 4/3 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with it averaging between 55 and 57 degrees. Have fun out there!
