Motorist Dies In Single-Vehicle Crash In Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA, CA -- A motorist killed Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in Costa Mesa was a Huntington Beach resident, police said.

Patrick John Harris, 26, was killed just after midnight near Victoria Street and Pacific Avenue, when his 2015 Honda Accord struck a traffic signal pole, Costa Mesa spokeswoman Roxi Fyad said.

Harris was the sole occupant in the sedan and was pronounced dead at the scene, Fyad said.

Police were asking businesses along Victoria Street to check security footage to see if it shows the crash, she said.
