NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Four new cottages at the Crystal Cove Conservancy will open to the public after a soft opening starting Thursday, Dec. 19.

According to the conservancy, the first reservation window is expected to happen on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 8 a.m. through the official California State Parks reservation system, ReserveCalifornia.com.

Eight of the restored cottages were opened to the public in 2023, a previous Patch report stated. Another five more — including a duplex — are expected to be released in about a year, according to reports.

"They will go fast," Crystal Cove Conservancy president and CEO Kate Wheeler told the newspaper of the newly-opened cottages. "We’ve been working hard to try and get them released for the holiday."
