New, Family-Style Spanish Cuisine Opens Doors In Newport Beach
Family-owned Spanish restaurant group Telefèric Barcelona is now open at Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A new, family-style restaurant has just opened its doors at Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
Telefèric Barcelona, a family-owned Spanish restaurant group founded by siblings Xavi and Maria Padrosa, opened its ninth U.S. location at the popular destination this past week.
"Newport Beach immediately felt different to us," Co-founder Xavi Podrosa told Patch. "The coastal breeze, the Mediterranean light, the energy of the people and the connection to the ocean remind us so much of Barcelona. There's something about Newport that feels very familiar to us."

At the location, residents can expect family-style signature tapas including patatas bravas, jamón ibérico de bellota (38-month-cured Iberian acorn-fed ham) and garlic-infused prawns, along with Wagyu empanadas filled with braised short rib, Manchego crackers, and mojo sauce.
