New Round Of Protests In Orange County Sunday
Another round of protests is expected across the Southland Sunday, amid fresh outrage over the death of a 24-year-old Palmdale man.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Multiple demonstrations against racism and police brutality were scheduled again Sunday across Orange County, as has been the case every day for weeks, prompted by the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police on Memorial Day.
Events planned in Orange County include:
- 11 a.m. Main Beach in Laguna Beach
- Noon Huntington Beach Pier (@lilprecioza)
- Noon Huntington Beach Civic Center, 2000 Main St.
- 2 p.m. Laguna Niguel at Kings Road and Sunshine
- 2 p.m. Newport Beach Back Bay Science Center, 600 Shellmaker Road
- 2 p.m. Newport Beach at Pacific Coast Highway and Superior
An ongoing daily demonstration is held at 3:30 p.m. in Laguna Niguel, at Crown Valley Parkway and Greenfield Drive.

Meanwhile, protests have continued and questions still linger over the death of Robert Fuller, a 24-year-old black man found hanging from a Palmdale tree Wednesday. Local authorities are now investigating his death after quickly ruling it a suicide, prompting community outrage.
A Los Angeles County supervisor, state senator and state assembly member have called on the state attorney general to investigate Fuller's death.
