Newport Beach Area Slow-Speed Chase Ends in Santa Ana
A late night car chase from Costa Mesa to Santa Ana ended with a suspect under arrest. Here's what happened.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A man was in custody Monday after leading authorities on a slow-speed chase through Orange County.
The pursuit began at just before 10:30 p.m. on Dyer Road at the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway in Santa Ana where police noticed the vehicle the suspect was driving did not have license plates, leading them to believe it may have been stolen, according to Cmdr. Matt Sorenson of the Santa Ana Police Department.
Officers tried to stop the vehicle, and when the driver failed to comply, a chase ensued, Sorenson said.
