Newport Beach Foundation Encourages Next Generation Of Volunteers
Hundreds attended the Newport Beach Foundation's launch, to celebrate and expand volunteerism into the next generation.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — The Newport Beach Foundation is reaching out to strengthen the future of the community through promoting volunteerism. The premiere launch of the Newport Beach Foundation took place at the Lido House Hotel, where 200 attended the soft launch of the city's newest non-profit.
"Local industry leaders and young professionals have come together to establish the Newport Beach Foundation, a non-profit philanthropic organization established to strengthen current and future community leadership," event organizers said.
The organization’s overall goal is to introduce the group’s commitment to civic engagement and encourage the next generation to become involved in their community as well as introduce leadership opportunities in Newport Beach.

“There is a generational divide between those who have created the legacy of Newport Beach and the next generation whose time is approaching to step up and serve,” stated Joe Stapleton, chairman of Newport Beach Foundation and president of Spinnaker Investment Group. “It is our goal to give them a pathway and platform to build upon.”

1. Quarterly Education Programming (beginning in January 2019).
2. Annual event honoring Newport Beach rising professionals, business owners and civic leaders.
3. Drive awareness and engagement for Newport Beach nonprofits and community organizations.
“The long-term health and success of the Newport Beach community depends on the willingness of the individuals who work and live here to get engaged and contribute meaningfully through volunteerism, civic leadership and/or business stimulation,” said Antonella Castro, vice chair of Newport Beach Foundation and co-Owner of KAP7 International Inc.
The Lido House soft launch reception was a veritable who’s-who of the community.
Among the 200 attendees supporting and interested in the foundation were five current Newport Beach City Council officials, three former mayors, CEO of Newport Beach & Company, CEO of Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, Fire Chief Chip Duncan, City Attorney Aaron Harp and representatives of the Ben Carlson Foundation. Event sponsors included Newport Beach & Company, Lido House, The UPS Store, Schroeder Investment Partners and Towne Park Brew.
The next quarterly event will be held at the newly remodeled Newport Harbor Yacht Club on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m.
