A Newport Beach motorcycle officer was taken to the hospital with a minor leg injury after a crash this morning near Fashion Island, according to police Lt. Rob Morton. The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. at Jamboree Road and San Joaquin Hills Road, Morton said. Another car was involved, he said. "There has been no determination in terms of fault," Morton said. The California Highway Patrol is investigating, he said.
