Newport Beach Neighborhood Terrorized with Pellet Projectiles

Three men were shot will pellet projectiles in separate incidents over two days on the same Newport Beach street.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA Police in Newport Beach are looking for the culprit who has been shooting pellets at people in three separate incidents on the same street.

In each case, men were targeted and struck with projectiles later determined to be pellets. All three suffered minor injuries.

According to the Newport Beach Police Department, the first incident occurred Sunday shortly after 7 p.m. in the 1900 block of Sherington Place. A man was loading items into his van when he heard three pellets strike the vehicle. He then felt a fourth pellet strike him in the chin.

A few hours later, at 10:30 p.m. a man was getting into his car when he heard something strike the car door. He then felt a pellet strike him in the upper back.

On Monday at 4 p.m. jogger was hit by a pellet on his inner biceps.
