Newport Beach Police Make Arrest in Balboa Island Sculpture Theft
A thief who stole a propeller sculpture and star from a Coral Ave. home on Balboa Island last year turned themselves in to the NBPD.

BALBOA ISLAND, CA—Last year, the citizens of Newport Beach area, Balboa Island, were up in arms due to a theft that changed the landscape of Coral Avenue.
Last July, a large antique propeller and decorative metal star were stolen from the 300 block of Coral Avenue last July. After one year, the Newport Beach Police Department have made an arrest in the case.
"One year ago, a large antique propeller and a decorative metal star were stolen from a home in the 300 block of Coral Avenue," the Newport Beach Police Department stated in release.

On July 21, the suspect in this case turned himself in.
"The suspect surrendered to the Newport Beach Police Department and was arrested for the petty theft," the NBPD said in release.

"In the coming days, Detectives will finalize the investigation and forward it to the District Attorney for review," the release stated.
