Newport Beach Weekend Crash Leaves Motorcyclist Seriously Injured
Weekend crash on West Coast Highway, East of Tustin leaves motorcyclist severely injured according to Newport Beach Police Department.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA—Over the weekend, a traffic collision on West Coast Highway east of Tustin Avenue left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.
The crash occurred Saturday, Aug. 13 at just before 4 p.m.
"The Newport Beach Police Department’s Dispatch Center was notified of a traffic collision on West Coast Highway east of Tustin Avenue," the report stated. "The collision involved a black Honda motorcycle and a black Nissan Frontier, both of which were traveling eastbound on West Coast Highway at the time of the collision."

The driver of the truck was not injured, but the motorcyclist suffered major injuries as a result of the collision.
"Newport Beach Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported him to Orange County Global Medical Center for medical attention and evaluation," the report said.

Initial investigation indicates that alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be contributing factors in this incident.
