Newport to Ensenada Yacht International Race Sets Sail

NEWPORT BEACH, CA - The 69th annual Newport to Ensenada Yacht International Race will begin today, with more than 200 boats registered to compete.

The annual race from Newport Beach to Mexico will feature about 40 classes of boats competing through the weekend. The contest features a mix of serious yachters with expensive boats racing alongside more recreational hobbyists who hail from all over the country.

The race will begin off the Balboa Pier at 11 a.m. and continue through Sunday afternoon with a trophy presentation.
