When Medina was arrested, police said he was suspected in two unprovoked stabbings on consecutive days, but he has only been charged in the second alleged attack.

Medina was arrested Monday, a short time after he allegedly twice stabbed a 63-year-old man about 10:30 a.m. at a 99 Cents Only Store at 2180 Harbor Blvd, police said. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police also alleged that Medina stabbed a 30-year-old man about 8:40 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Park Avenue. The victim sustained stab wounds to his right arm and chest area that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

Medina did not know the men and allegedly stabbed them without provocation, police said.
