Opus Bank Celebrates Grand Opening in CDM
The bank also gave $5,000 to Share-Our-Selves, a local Orange County agency that works to help needy families with food and shelter.
A pair of large scissors snipped a big ribbon Thursday evening to signal the arrival of Opus Bank in Corona del Mar.
Located at 3748 East Coast Highway, the branch joins a list of 40 others on the West Coast which include 18 in Southern California and 22 in Washington. Bank officials say its main goal is to serve members of the communities they are stationed in and to help smaller business make a turnaround in the current economy.
“Many businesses believe that in order to rebuild the economy, we have to work from the top down. We believe we need to work down and up," Brad Davis, the bank's chief marketing officer, said. "We don’t necessarily want to be big; we want to serve every community like it is the only community we are catering to."

Balaji Krishna, the bank's vice-president, also used the opening celebration to present a $5,000 charitable contribution through its Opus Community Foundation to Share-Our-Selves, a provider of food and shelter to needy families in Orange County. Krishna says along with serving bank members the foundation also works to help improve the lives of disadvantaged individuals and families living in or around Opus Bank areas.
“Our clients aren’t just numbers, we know our clients well," he said. "And that’s what sets us apart from the rest.”
