It is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 4.5 cents higher than one month ago and 24.9 cents more than one year ago. In Newport Beach, to find gas for under $3 per gallon head to the 76 station on Newport Boulevard, Newport Coast Car Wash on Birch Street, or to the ARCO station on South East Bristol Street. Los Angeles County, gas prices remained unchanged Tuesday at $3.075. The average price had increased 16 of the previous 17 days, and is now 1.2 cents higher than one week ago, 4.6 cents higher than one month ago and 23.8 cents more than one year ago.
