Pedestrian Dies On 5 Freeway; Road Closures
A pedestrian was killed on the Santa Ana freeway late Thursday. Southbound lane closures were in effect overnight.
COSTA MESA, CA - A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed on the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway near the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway in Santa Ana.
The carpool lane and three main lanes on the southbound side of the Santa Ana Freeway were closed, the California Highway Patrol reported.
There was no information as to if alcohol or drugs were involved. It was not known if any arrests were made in this incident.
