Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Car In Newport Beach
Police were looking for information about the crash, which was reported on Sunday at 1:16 a.m. in Newport Beach.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Newport Beach police officers sought the public's help this week after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Sunday morning.
The crash was reported on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 1:16 a.m. in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and 60th Street, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
Officers were initially called to the scene after receiving reports of a Ford Fusion that had crashed with a male pedestrian. The pedestrian, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.

According to authorities, the driver of the Ford Fusion remained on scene and cooperated with police.
