Polling Places In Newport Beach: Vote In 2020 Primary

Find your polling place and hours, as well as where to drop off vote-by-mail ballots across Orange County.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Election Day is Tuesday, March 3, but early and vote-by-mail voting is already underway for the Presidential Primary Election for Orange County residents. This is all part of the new early-voting system, the registrar of voters has shared.

"In Orange County, elections are no longer a one-day event," the OC Registrar of Voters, Neal Kelley said. "Voting begins the month before election day, when every voter receives a vote-by-mail ballot."

Whether you vote by mail from home, use a drive-thru ballot drop-off, or vote in person, there are many ways to make sure your vote counts.

If you're casting a ballot in person, it's important to show up at the correct polling place. In Newport Beach voters have the option to vote in the presidential primary election either at ballot drop boxes or at vote centers.

Voting is open for Newport Beach residents at this Orange County Vote Centers:

  • Newport Beach Civic Center, 100 Civic Center Drive, between MacArthur Boulevard and Avocado Avenue. Voting is open from Feb. 22 to Feb. 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Between Feb. 29 and March 2, voting is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; On March 3, voting is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The following 4 Day Vote Centers are open in Newport Beach:

  • Marina Park Community Center, 1600 W Balboa Boulevard. Voting is open on Feb. 29 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Voting is open on March 3 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Newport Coast Community Center, 6401 San Joaquin Hills Road. Voting is open on Feb. 29 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Voting is open on March 3 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • OASIS Senior Center, 801 Narcissus Avenue. Voting is open on Feb. 29 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Voting is open on March 3 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Newport Harbor Lutheran Church. 798 Dover Street. Voting is open on Feb. 29 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Voting is open on March 3 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Newport Harbor Lawn Bowling Club, 1550 Crown Drive. Voting is open on Feb. 29 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Voting is open on March 3 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
