Prominent OC Volleyball Coach Accused of Sending Lewd Videos to Teen

A volleyball coach at schools and leagues throughout OC has been arrested for allegedly sending lewd videos of himself to a teenager.

COSTA MESA, CA - A Costa Mesa man who coaches volleyball throughout Orange County was arrested today on suspicion of sending lewd videos of himself to an underage girl, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

Troy Linehan Crutchfield, 26, was arrested at his residence as investigators served a search warrant, Orange County sheriff's Lt. Mark Stichter said.

Crutchfield met the alleged victim online, said Stichter, who refused to reveal the girl's age.

Investigators suspect there may be more victims because Crutchfield has worked or volunteered as a volleyball coach at Cal State Long Beach, SCA Club Volleyball in Huntington Beach, Huntington Beach High School and Long Beach City College.

Crutchfield also provides private volleyball lessons, the lieutenant said.

Anyone with information about the suspect, who was being held on $100,000 bail, was asked to call investigators at (714) 972-4185.
