Residents Invited To Annual 'Touch A Truck' Event In Newport Beach
The event is held in celebration of National Public Works Week, city officials said.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — On the hunt for a kid-friendly event in Newport Beach? In honor of National Public Works Week, the city will host the 3rd annual "Touch a Truck" event, and residents were urged to take part in the celebration.
The hands-on event allows residents to explore heavy trucks and equipment used by the Newport Beach Public Works Department. Participants can also visit learning booths, meet Public Works employees and more.
The "Touch a Truck" event takes place Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Balboa Pier Parking Lot, with "quiet hour" going from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
