These Are America's Richest Communities

A new census analysis published in Bloomberg ranks America's richest communities. See if your town made the list.

Where do America's richest residents live?

According to a new analysis of census data published by Bloomberg, cities and towns with ties to Wall Street and Silicon Valley had the highest U.S. household incomes in 2015. The richest households weren't isolated to the coasts, with some communities in between also making the list.

Atherton, California, topped the list, owing to its proximity to Silicon Valley. On the opposite coast, Bloomberg notes that more than one-third of the country's richest households were located within 50 miles of New York City.
