NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Planning to beat the heat in Newport Beach's Harbor Marina? The water in that area is off-limits Friday morning, following a sewage spill reported on Thursday, midday according to Orange County Health. A backed up private property sewer line was the cause according to officials.

"About 100 gallons of sewage was reported spilled at just before 11:30 a.m. Thursday due to a blockage in a private property owner's sewer line that connects a building to a main sewer pipe," authorities said.

The Orange County Health Care Agency said beachgoers have to stay out of the water until at least Saturday.
