Shots Fired In Costa Mesa Neighborhood, Man Dead

COSTA MESA, CA — One man died Friday in Costa Mesa during a shooting that was likely gang-related, authorities said Sunday.

The shooting was reported on Friday, Nov. 10 at 5:36 p.m. in the 2800 block of Mendoza Drive. Costa Mesa police officers responded to the scene in about three minutes and found a 35-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

While officers gave emergency aid, the man died of his injuries at the scene. His name was not released. One man was arrested, officers said, but his identity was similarly not released.

According to authorities, the shooting was likely gang-related and likely an isolated incident.
