Spray-Painted Crosswalk Appears In South OC Neighborhood: Report
A handmade crosswalk appeared on a busy residential street in Costa Mesa this week, the Daily Pilot reported.
COSTA MESA, CA — A spray-painted crosswalk appeared on a busy street in Costa Mesa Tuesday morning, leaving residents wondering whether it was an act of the city or an act of vandalism, the Daily Pilot reported.
The crosswalk appeared on Costa Mesa's Wilson Street, near the entrance to Wilson Park, where pedestrians aim to cross the street against speeding vehicles and distracted drivers, the report said.
“There’s lots of traffic,” Costa Mesa resident Jesse Jackson told the Daily Pilot. On Thursday, Jackson tried to cross the busy road with his dog, Cooper. "We wait a long time to cross, [and] cars won’t stop for you.”
