St. Patrick's Day in Newport

Here's Newport Beach Patch columnist St. Patrick's Day picks. If you see her out on the town, be sure to say hello.

: Open at 7:30 a.m., this place serves a killer breakfast. For St. Patrick's Day, this Irish bar will have special items on the menu, including corned beef sandwiches and corned beef tacos. There is a quality selection of 13 beers on tap and 10 bottled beers.

: Today, The Alley will serve up corned beef and cabbage and shepherd's pie. This local watering hole is the perfect place to go during the day, as it has an outdoor covered patio. 

: This place is a must on St. Patrick's Day. Even the staff has Irish accents. There will be live music to enjoy and, as always, a great selection of beers and pub food.

: Be sure to check out Muldoon's 36th Annual St. Patrick's Day bash. As always, it will have live music all day and all night. There is no cover charge, but come with lots of Irish spirit, as it is an event where people go all out and get dressed up in their green gear.  Muldoon's will have limited-edition St. Paddy's Day T-shirts for sale. And, of course, the pub's elaborate Irish menu of specialty food and drinks is always a hit.
