While others plan for holidays, the family of Brandon Vergara is planning his funeral after he died in a single-car collision last week.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A 20-year-old man who was killed when his car crashed into a commercial building on Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach last week was identified by the Orange County Coroner's office.
Brandon Vergara of Stanton died on Nov. 17, in a fiery crash that took place at 11 p.m. on Nov. 17, at PCH and 61st Street, an area with a "dramatic curve," according to Newport Beach police Sgt. B. Gregson and the Orange County coroner's office.
Vergara was headed westbound at the time of the crash, he said. His body was found in the remains of the vehicle when firefighters put out the flames, Gregson said.
