Surfer's Sunrise Snapshots Of The OC Coast: Photo Of The Week

NEWPORT BEACH, CA - Sunrise is a sacred time of day for Surfers. This Orange County resident, surfer and Instagram photographer loves to capture such a scene on camera and share his favorite time of day with his online audience.

Jason Berry's photos showcase West Jetty View park (Newport), Corona del Mar's big beach, and CDM's little beach over looking Arch Rock, and beneath balboa pier.

"As for my inspiration, it was really organic," he told Patch. "I would be out body boarding, jogging, or surfing almost every morning and would always catch the sunrise, so I began to take pictures and would post to Instagram. (its_jason_berry)."

No matter the season, you can find Berry out taking in the first light of day.

"I cant think of a better way to start the day," he said.

Berry has lived in Orange County the majority of his life and moved to the Newport/ Costa Mesa area about 15 years ago.

"OC has it all! Anything you could ever want to do is just a short drive," he said. "Mostly, I stay for the weather and beautiful beaches."
