Suspect Wanted in Costa Mesa Hotel Robbery
A Residence Inn in Costa Mesa was robbed early Thursday according to Costa Mesa Police

COSTA MESA, CA — A Residence Inn was robbed early Thursday morning according to Costa Mesa Police Department.
Police responded to an alarm at a Residence Inn by Marriott at 800 block of Baker St. at just after 4:15 a.m., Costa Mesa police Sgt. Bang Le said.
"An employee was at the lobby desk when a man entered and handed her a note demanding money," Le said.
"The woman said the man threatened her but did not have a weapon."

The woman gave the man $1,000 from the cash register and he fled, Le said.
"The woman was shaking as she described the robbery to police," Le said.

Costa Mesa authorities are still searching for the suspect. The robber was described as Latino, 5 feet tall, in his 30s, last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
