Suspects In $20k Louis Vuitton Heist Sought: Newport Beach

Two men were sought in the thefts of high-end purses from a Newport Beach luxury department store.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA —Police continue to seek two suspects in a high-end purse theft from a Newport Beach area department store. Four men walked in and took multiple Louis Vuitton bags from the Neiman Marcus on Newport Center Drive, valued at nearly $20,000, police said.

The theft occurred in broad daylight on Tuesday, November 26 at just after 4:15 p.m.

The suspects entered the Neiman Marcus and rapidly stole armfuls of the designer bags, a Newport Beach Police spokesperson said. A fifth suspect waited in a vehicle nearby.

Just over an hour later, three of the five suspects were taken into custody at a pawnshop in Los Angeles and arrested by the Newport Beach Police Department.

All of the stolen bags were recovered, she said.

The outstanding suspects (pictured above) are described as black, male, approximately 18-20 years old, with black hair.

At the time of the incident, one suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black pants with a white stripe, and white shoes. The other suspect was wearing a black hoodie with white writing, black pants with a red stripe, and white shoes.
