Tesla Driver Shot In Road Rage Incident In Newport Beach, Police Say
The driver was shot in the shoulder near the Newport Beach pier while the suspects fled the scene, authorities said.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A man was shot near the Newport Beach pier after a road rage incident, though he is expected to survive, The Orange County Register reported.
Newport Beach police officers were dispatched to a parking lot in the 2100 block of West Oceanfront Walk at about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday in response to reports of gunfire, the report said. After arriving, authorities were flagged down by a man driving a Tesla SUV in the area of San Joaquin Hills and Jamboree roads.
According to the newspaper, the driver of the Tesla pulled up next to a parked dark-colored sedan with four men standing next to it. An argument ensued and one of the man fired a gun five times at the SUV, hitting the driver in the shoulder.
