The Wayfarer hosts a special evening of music and art

Orange County's premiere live music venue The Wayfarer hosts a special evening of music, art, and giveaways, Saturday, August 2nd from 8pm to 2am.  The unique party is old time country themed and features performances by OC's most popular Americana group Ted Z and the Wranglers (based in Laguna Beach) who will be celebrating their record release "Like A King".  Other performances include, acclaimed blues/roots trio The Record Company fresh off their tour with BB King and local favorites Ranger, and Hank and Her Ponies. 

The event will celebrate OC arts in a variety of forms including performance art from Christiana Lewis and a unique photography exhibit from Steady Jenny photos.   Attendees will also enjoy a plethora of giveaways from community partners such as Jack's surfboards, KOCI, Music for Humanity and Puzzled Peace. 

The highlight of the evening is the release of Ted Z and the Wrangler's newest five song EP. "Like A King" showcases the band’s distinctive sound and has a surreal untamed quality. The EP includes the following songs: “Like a King”, “Heaven’s Rent”, “Virginia”, and “Tomorrow”. The second track “Heaven’s Rent” describes an interesting scenario of God moving in as a roommate with music reminiscent of early country legends Johnny Cash and Hank Williams.  The standout track “Virginia” is a yearning love song at its most perfect with layered vocals and twangy guitar riffs. The final track “Tomorrow” is a folk anthem featuring whisper like vocals evocative of the frontier.
