United Cerebral Palsy of OC's Autumn Golf Classic a Fundraising Success

United Cerebral Palsy of OC Raises $140K at 22nd Life Without Limits Autumn Golf Classic

They called it a mulligan. United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County’s 22nd Life Without Limits Autumn Golf Classic was just under way on October 24 at Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Coast when thunder, rain and lightning intervened. The tournament was rescheduled on November 15 when 126 golfers and supporters helped raise proceeds of $140K to support the organization’s comprehensive services to more than 4,300 children and families with developmental disabilities including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delay and children at risk for developing a developmental delay.

A tournament highlight was interaction with United Cerebral Palsy of OC children and families who participated as ambassadors throughout the day and served as inspirational speakers during the post golf program. There was a “family sink the putt,” hospitality holes and during the live auction, ambassador Johnny Spannagel helped the auctioneer talk about a special auction item, an Angel’s Dream Experience. Brad Barlow of FPH Capital Partners won the bid in order to give it to back to Johnny.

The winning foursome included Howard Lambert, Ben Arnold, Terry Kassien and Glenn Zet. Key sponsors were DLD Insurance Brokers, loanDepot, Nationwide Insurance, California Bank of Commerce and 4Gen Digital.
