Vans US Open Of Surfing Arrives At Huntington Beach July 30-Aug 7 2022
Surf's up in Orange County. This week, the Huntington Beach police department has some safety tips for visitors to the show.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — The Vans U.S. Open of Surfing is coming to Huntington Beach for the summer of 2022. The event organized by the World Surf League is slated for July 30 through Aug. 7 and this is the fourth surf event of the WSL season, now on the shores of Orange County.
This year, the nine-day surf competition is set to draw record crowds though fans not in the area can live stream the 2022 Men's Challenger Series on the World Surf League website. The entire event is free and open to the public from 7:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. every day.

BMX competitions and skateboarding competitions will also be in full swing, as well as creative activities for the entire family, an event spokesperson said in a recent release.When you go, the Huntington Beach Police suggest you follow some safety tips to ensure you have the best time while watching the show both at the beach and on the shore.

For 2022, community events, including a two-day youth surf camp experience from August 3-4 with two sessions.
Non-profits from Southern California will bring in youth from underserved communities to experience the US Open, according to organizers.
This part of the week is led by longtime Vans non-profit partner City Surf Project, and additional partners for the US Open Vans Surf Camp include Stoked Mentoring, Native Like Water, and the HB Rangers program.

- Don't leave belongings unattended.
