Video Of Newport Beach Stabbing: Cops Seek Witnesses & Suspect
In early May, a man was stabbed multiple times on Newport Beach Boulevard. Did you witness this brutal attack?
NEWPORT BEACH, CA —Warning. The above video may be disturbing for some viewers. Witnesses and a suspect were sought in Newport Beach, following a brutal stabbing in the area of Newport Boulevard and 28th Street Sunday, May 13.
The victim, seen moving toward the suspect down the street in the video, was stabbed multiple times, according to Newport Beach Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella. A witness intervened following the stabbing.
The victim is expected to fully recover, she said, however at this time the NBPD only has the victim's statement regarding the incident. "We are hoping to get a clear picture on exactly what occurred," she told Patch.

The witness was a white male in his 2os, approximately 6-feet tall, with a cast on his arm and tattoos, according to surveillance video.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, mid 20s with scraggly hair.

"Detectives are asking this witness and suspect, or anyone who can help identify them, to come forward to assist in the investigation," Manzella said. Cops are also looking for any additional witnesses who were in the area at the time of the assault.
