New Fashion Island Wahoo's First in CA to Offer Full Bar

Wahoo's Fish Taco is adding the finishing touches to its restaurant and full-service bar, slated to open this week at Fashion Island.

The popular chain will begin serving patrons Thursday at its new, 4,500-square-foot indoor and outdoor space located in the Atrium Cafés at Fashion Island. The restaurant will offer its first full-bar in California, offering cocktails, wine and beer.

Wahoo’s first opened its doors in 1988 and since has become widely known for its fusion menu with Mexican, Brazilian and Asian influences. Wahoo’s Fashion Island is open Monday through Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Thursday through Sunday, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.  For more information, call 949-760-0290.

• Johnny Was opened its first Orange County location at Fashion Island earlier this month.  The clothing store is located adjacent to Nordstom, and fills the spot vacated by Fluxus in July. Johnny Was carries every line by the designer label, and offers a variety of styles including boho chic, California surfer chic, fashion-forward sophisticate and more.

• Fashion Island will kick off the holidays this weekend at its annual . Two events are scheduled at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Neiman Marcus-Bloomingdale's Courtyard.
