Wave Check: Friday

It's not very inviting!

Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report.  Well, I definitley wouldn't make it a priority to paddle.  Yep, the surf is still fairly small and those conditions aren't starting off so good!

Most spots are already seeing some texture or bump on the water.  We've got a combination of some minimal west northwest and west southwest windswells and a touch of south southwesterly energy in the background.

That's making for some textured lines, with maybe a few workable ones, with the small wave gear.  Most spots in Newport Beach are running about knee-to thigh- high, with the standout breaks pulling the occasional waist-high wave.

At 10:41 a.m the tide drops to a 0.2 low which will have many spots pretty drained out and lacking water mid to late morning.  The tide then climbs back up to a 3.1 high at 5:48 p.m.

If you're grab a session before this latest storm, throw on at least the 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees.  Good luck out there!!
