Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, the surf is definitely nothing real special, but if nothing else get out there and enjoy the nice weather. Overall, it's continuing to hang in small mode.
The conditions are nice and clean early on, with a mixture of energy in the water. We're seeing mainly northwest windswell and just a tad of south southwest energy in the background.
That recipe is offering this neck of the woods with some fairly soft broken-up lines, with a few fast sections. Most Newport Beach spots are running about knee-to waist-high plus, with the standout combo breaks seeing some belly-high waves, with a few plus sets.

Checking those tides, at 7:49 a.m it climbs way up to a 5.0 high which will have some spots pretty full and inconsistent mid-morning. Do yourself a favor and wait for that tide to drop a bit, but get it before it eventually drains out to a 0.0 low at 1:56 p.m.
If you're going to grab a session, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
