Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, unfortunately we're starting off with some crummy conditions. So, that's definitely going to make it difficult getting motivated to surf!
We're seeing some bump or light chop on the water, thanks to the variable south southwest wind. As far as the waves go, there's a decent mix of energy in the water.
We've got some northwest windswell and some increasing south southwest energy. That recipe is offering some fast and crumbly disorganized lines, with maybe a few decent ones.

Most spots in Newport Beach are pulling knee-to waist-high waves, with those top combo breaks pulling a few plus sets. Taking a look at those tides, at 10:24 a.m it pushes up to a 4.6 high and then drains out to a 0.8 low at 3:48 p.m.
If you're planning on paddling, a 3/2 fullsuit will do the job, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 59 degrees. Good luck out there!
