Wave Check: Monday

A fun mixture of swells!

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report.  Well, we're seeing a fun-size mixture of energy out there today.  So, if you have a little time to kill, go grab a session!

It's nice and glassy from the start, with a combination of mostly easing south southwest swell and some minor west northwest and northwest energy.

That recipe is providing some racy sectiony lines, with plenty of steep rippable shoulders.   Most spots in Newport Beach are running about knee-to stomach-high, with the focal points pulling a few larger sets.

At 10:59 a.m the tide drops to a 0.3 low which will have some spots lacking water late morning.  The tide then climbs back up to a 3.4 high at 6:18 p.m.

If you're going to get wet, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature hanging between 57 and 59 degrees.  See ya in the water!!
