Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, there's still a decent dose of energy out there. Overall, we're looking at mostly playful size surf in this neck of the woods.
It's mostly clean early on, with some spots seeing a little texture on the water. Taking a look at the waves, we're seeing some residual south southwest swell and some smaller northwest energy in the mix.
That recipe is making for some racy sectiony lines, with plenty of rippable shoulders to snag. Most spots in Newport Beach are pulling knee-to chest-high waves, with the top combo breaks pulling some shoulder-high sets.

Checking the tides, at 11:16 a.m it drops to a 0.4 low which will have some spots drained out and in need of water mid-day. The tide then pushes back up to a 4.0 high at 6:18 p.m.
If you're planning on paddling, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 58 and 59 degrees. Have fun out there!
