Wave Check: Monday

It's a good day to get to work on time!

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report.  Well, it's definitely a good day to get to work on time!!Yep, those conditions are starting off pretty crummy.  We're dealing with a modest west southwest wind which is putting some bump or even chop on the water just about everywhere.

Taking a look at the waves, there's a fair amount of action in the water.  There's mainly west northwest and northwest windswell and some very small residual south southwest energy underneath it.

That recipe is providing this neck of the woods, with some crumbly and bumpy racy lines, with a few decent shoulders.  Most spots in Newport Beach are seeing about knee-to stomach-high waves, with the top combo breaks pulling a few chest-high plus sets.

Checking the tides, at 8:58 a.m it drops to a 0.1 low which will have many spots lacking water throughout mid-morning.  The tide then climbs back up to a 3.6 high at 4:22 p.m.

If you're feeling desperate to get wet, then you can wear that 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature climbing back up a bit and hanging between 58 and 61 degrees.  Good luck out there!
