Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, the surf appears to have picked up a little. Overall, we're still stuck in small mode.
The conditions are fairly clean early on, with a mixture of mainly minor northwest windswell and a tiny amount of lingering south southwesterly energy in the mix. That recipe is providing some quick sectiony lines, with a few fun ones on the small wave equipment.
Most spots in Newport Beach are seeing knee-to thigh-high waves, with the standout breaks pulling some occasional waist-high waves.

At 9:08 a.m the tide drops to a 0.4 low which will have many spots drained out and desperate for water mid to late morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 2.8 high at 3:52 p.m.
If you're going to grab a grovel session, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water.
