Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, the playful action is sticking around for another day. So, why not get out there and enjoy the waves and the weather?
We're seeing some nice and clean conditions from the start, with a mixture of energy in the water. There's some decent south southwest swell and some decreasing west northwest energy.
That recipe is offering lots of fun workable lines, with some fast sections. Most spots in Newport Beach are seeing knee-to chest-high waves, with those top south facing breaks pulling a few larger sets.

Taking a look at those tides. At 8:23 a.m it climbs up to a 4.7 high which will have many spots pretty slow and kinda mushy early to mid-morning. Things should definitely improve once that tide turns around and eventually drops to a 0.3 low at 2:38 p.m.
If you're going to grab a session, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 57 and 58 degrees. See ya in the water!
