Wave Check: Tuesday

There are plenty of playful size waves!

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report.  Well, if you like the waves in that playful size range, then you're going to have fun out there today!

The conditions are mostly nice and clean early on, with a combination of energy in the water.  We're seeing mainly decent lingering south southwest swell and a tad of northwest wind and groundswell in the mix

That recipe is making for some racy sectiony lines, with a ton of rippable corners.  Most spots in Newport Beach are seeing knee-to chest-high waves, with the south facing focal points pulling some larger sets.

Checking those tides.  At 5:01 a.m it dropped to a 0.0 low which will have some spots lacking water early to mid-morning.  The tide then pushes back up to a 3.7 high at 11:13 a.m and then drops once again to a 1.5 low at 4:27 p.m.

If you're planning on paddling, you'll want to wear no more than a 3/2 fullsuit with that water temperature climbing up quite a bit and averaging between 62 and 63 degrees.  See ya in the water!
