Wave Check: Tuesday

Don't make it a priority to paddle!

Good Tuesday morning surfers I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report.  Well, I wouldn't make it a priority to paddle!  Yep, it's continuing to drop in size, so we're basically looking at small surf just about everywhere.

We're seeing some semi-clean conditions, with some texture or bump on it.  Taking a look at the waves, there's a small combination of energy out there.  We've got some minor northwest energy and some residual south swell.

That recipe is providing some kinda crumbly sectiony lines, with a few racy shoulders, but you'll probably want to get out a small wave board!  Most spots in Newport Beach are running about knee-to waist-high, with the top combo breaks pulling possibly a couple of larger sets.

At 11:54 a.m the tide drains out to a 0.1 low which will have many spots lacking water mid-day.  The tide then pushes back up to a 3.9 high at 6:45 p.m.

If you're going to get wet, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit or even a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temp taking a bit of a dip and averaging between 56 and 58 degrees.  Good luck out there!!
