Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, the good news, the conditions have finally come together, the bad news, the surf has really dropped! Basically it's back to small mode in this neck of the woods, with a few playful size waves.
It's super clean and glassy from the start, with a combination of some minor leftover west northwest windswell and a little southerly energy starting to fill-in.
That recipe is making for some fast drained out sectiony lines, with a few good ones to pick off. Most spots in Newport Beach are seeing knee-to waist-high waves, with those focal points pulling an occasional plus set.

Checking those tides, at 5:39 a.m it drained out to a 0.8 low which will have many spots lacking water early to mid-morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 3.1 high at 11:35 a.m and then drops once again to a 1.7 low at 4:43 p.m.
If you're going to grab a surf, then you'll want to wear the most rubber you have, with the water temperature really dropping and averaging between a very chilly 54 and 55 degrees. Good luck out there!
