Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report. Well, some spots are showing some fun size surf, while others are looking pretty small. So, you'll definitely want to hit up a beach with the most south facing exposure.
The conditions are mostly clean and glassy, with a mixture of mainly holding south southwest swell and only a touch of northwest energy in the water. That's providing some kinda soft sectiony lines early on, which should get steeper and racier as that tide drops throughout the day.
Most spots in Newport Beach are seeing knee-to waist-high waves, with the standout south facing breaks pulling stomach-high waves, with some chest- high plus sets.

Taking a look at those tides. At 7:37 a.m it climbs way up to a 5.4 high which will have many spots pretty full and inconsistent early to mid-morning. The tide then drains out to a negative 0.4 low at 2:18 p.m
If you're going to get wet, you'll want to wear no less than a 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
