Wave Check: Wednesday

A good day to get some work done!

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report.  Well, it's looking like a good day to find something else to do besides grab a surf session.  Yep, there's not much size and we're dealing with some worsening conditions early on.

Most spots are already seeing some bump or even light chop on it, with just a pretty small amount of energy in the water.  There's mainly northwest wind and groundswell and not much south southwest energy to speak of.

That recipe is making for some bumpy and kind of disorganized  lines, with a couple of workable corners.  Most spots in Newport Beach are running about knee -to waist-high, with the standout combo breaks pulling a few bigger ones.

At 5:50 a.m the tide climbed up to a 4.6 high which will have some spots a bit full and inconistent early on.  The tide then drains out to a 0.0 low at 12:39 p.m.

If you're desperate to get wet, do yourself a favor and throw on that 4/3 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temp cooling off a bit and averaging between 55 and 57 degrees.  Good luck out there!
