Wave Check: Wednesday

It's still pretty playful, with a little less energy!

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Corona del Mar Patch surf report.  Well, it's pretty similar to what we had out there yesterday, but a hair smaller.  Overall, it's still hanging in that playful size range!

We're starting off with some pretty clean conditions, with a mixture of energy.  There's mostly south southwest swell and some minimal northwest wind and groundswell in the water.

That recipe is providing some fast and semi-wally lines, with some scattered shoulders to grab.  Most Newport Beach spots are running about knee-to stomach-high, with the standout breaks pulling a few chest-high sets.

Taking a look at the tides...at 5:39 a.m it drained out to a 0.0 low which will have many spots in need of water early to mid-morning.  The tide then pushes back up to a 3.4 high at 11:54 a.m and then drops once again to a 1.8 low at 4:49 p.m.

If you're going to get wet, you'll want to wear no more than a 4/3 fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 58 and 60 degrees.  See ya in the water!
